What happens to your recording

The file is sent encrypted to our server in France, handed to Melious AI GmbH in Saarbrücken for transcription and processed exclusively on EU servers. The recording is deleted right after transcription.

The transcript stays available for 24 hours so you can run the AI features on it, then it is removed automatically. Nothing is used to train models. The player on this page plays the file from your browser, not from our server.

Accuracy and limits

The model (Whisper large v3) handles English, German and 90+ other languages, including accents and background noise. On a clear recording the word error rate is in the low single digits; check names and technical terms.

Speakers are not labelled separately. For minutes that is enough, because the AI infers responsibilities from context. If you need speaker separation, meetergo Log has it.

Is it really free?
Yes. Up to three recordings a day without an account, ten with a free meetergo account. No watermarks, no truncated transcripts.
Which formats and lengths work?
MP3, M4A, AAC, WAV, OGG, Opus, WebM, FLAC plus MP4 and MOV, up to 100 MB and 60 minutes per file.
Where is my data processed?
On our server in France and at Melious AI GmbH in Saarbrücken, EU only. The recording is deleted after transcription, the transcript after 24 hours.
Can I create subtitles?
Yes, download the transcript as an SRT file with timestamps and import it into YouTube, Premiere, DaVinci Resolve or CapCut.
How do I get meeting minutes from it?
After transcription, pick a template and click Meeting minutes. The AI only places facts from the transcript into the template and invents nothing.
How do I transcribe WhatsApp voice messages?
Share the voice message from WhatsApp or save it as a file (OGG/Opus) and upload it here. On a phone this works straight from the share sheet.
