What is a signature generator?
A signature generator turns your handwritten signature into an image file. Instead of printing a document, signing it and scanning it back, you draw once and reuse the file as often as you like.
This tool gives you two routes: draw with a mouse, finger or stylus for a real handwritten signature, or type your name in one of four handwriting fonts when you are in a hurry.

Open the Draw tab and sign in the box, or switch to Type and enter your name.
2. Adjust color and style
Set the color and pen weight, or try the handwriting fonts until the signature looks right.

4. Add it to your document
Insert the image into Word, a PDF, a form or your email signature and resize it to fit.

Here is how to add your signature to a Word document:
- 1.In Word, click Insert, then Pictures, and choose the PNG file you downloaded.
- 2.Drag the signature to the right size and move it into position.
- 3.Under layout options, choose In Front of Text so the signature floats over the line.

Here is how to get your signature into a PDF:
- 1.Open the PDF in a reader with a stamp or image tool, such as Acrobat or Preview on Mac.
- 2.Choose add image or stamp and load the PNG with the transparent background.
- 3.Place the signature over the signature line and save the PDF.
Is a digital signature legally valid?
An image of your signature is enough for many everyday cases: internal approvals, forms, quotes or a personal touch under an email. In legal terms that counts as a simple electronic signature.
For higher-risk contracts, a legal written-form requirement, or when the signer's identity has to be certain, an image is not enough. That is where an advanced or qualified electronic signature (QES) with verified identity and an audit trail comes in.
Does my signature stay private?
Yes. The whole generator runs in your browser. Your signature is never uploaded to a server and never stored. Close the tab and it is gone. meetergo's servers are in the EU and the service is GDPR-compliant.
