Why do I select Open Xchange?

The openDesk calendar is built on Open-Xchange, so you connect it through that CalDAV provider in meetergo.

Does the openDesk server need to be reachable from the internet?

Yes. meetergo is a cloud service and needs access to the CalDAV endpoint. If openDesk only runs on an internal network, check with your administrator.

I can't find app passwords. What now?

App passwords only appear once two-factor authentication is active. Depending on the version, your administrator may also need to enable them.

Can external guests join the Jitsi meeting?

That depends on how your openDesk Jitsi is configured. Some instances require guests to sign in. Confirm guest access with your administrator first.

openDesk Integration for meetergo

Connect your openDesk calendar to meetergo via CalDAV and, if you like, run video meetings on your own openDesk Jitsi.

openDesk is the workplace suite from ZenDiS for public administration. Its calendar is built on Open-Xchange and its video conferencing on Jitsi, and meetergo can use both. Through CalDAV, meetergo reads your openDesk calendar, blocks busy times and adds new bookings to it. Reschedules and cancellations are applied as well. You can also enter your openDesk Jitsi domain in the Jitsi integration. meetergo then creates a room for each booking on your own instance instead of the public Jitsi server.

How It Works

Connect openDesk to meetergo

You need a CalDAV app password from openDesk and your instance's server address. For video, also your Jitsi domain.

Create an app password in openDesk

Turn on two-factor authentication and create an app password for calendar (CalDAV) access in your security settings. Your administrator can help if needed.

Connect the calendar in meetergo

Open Integrations & Apps, select Open Xchange and enter the server URL (usually https://your-opendesk-domain/dav), your email address and the app password.
