Three rows are easy to misread. Cal.com publishes no monthly price at all, so a monthly column would be blank rather than cheaper. SimplyBook.me is not per user: €11.90 buys 100 bookings a month across five providers, which is why it looks cheap beside a per-seat product and is not comparable to one. Microsoft Bookings needs the Teams-bearing plan: Business Basic without Teams is $5.40, but Microsoft's comparison table marks the Bookings row "Included in the version with Teams", so the real floor is $7.00.
A worked three-year cost for one person who wants a booking page with video included, at list prices and ignoring tax. meetergo Suite is €1,196.40, being €358.80 in the first year and €418.80 in each of the next two. Calendly Standard is $360, plus a video subscription on top, because Calendly hosts no video of its own. Cal.com Teams is $432 with Cal Video included. TidyCal Individual Lifetime is $29 once and then nothing, the cheapest line here by an order of magnitude and the one that buys the fewest guarantees.
What the price column hides. Two of these tools are cheaper on paper than in a shopping basket. Calendly Standard needs a Zoom or Google Meet subscription beside it before a meeting can happen. Acuity Starter covers exactly one calendar, so a second staff member moves you to Standard at $27. Price the configuration you will actually run, not the entry row.

meetergo is a German company hosting in Frankfurt, and what separates it from a booking link is what sits behind the booking link: built-in video, payments at booking, forms, e-signatures, meeting transcription and a visual CRM in the same subscription. If you pay for a scheduler and a video tool separately today, that is the comparison that matters.

The integration marketplace is smaller than Calendly's, there is no open-source edition, and the public review base is the smallest of any tool here. Staff and resource booking works but is not what the product was built for, so SimplyBook.me does it better.

G2 shows 4.8 out of 5 from 30 reviews on 1 September 2026; the capture below predates that count and its red box marks 4.7 out of 5 from 22. On Trustpilot, meetergo holds 4.2 out of 5 from 54 reviews, 15% of them at one star.
Fifty-four Trustpilot reviews and 30 on G2 is a thin base next to Calendly's 2,649, and no framing changes that. Our Trustpilot profile also carries the "no recent history of asking for reviews" flag, which is the honest half of the same fact: the 4.2 is unsolicited.
2. Cal.com: best for developers and self-hosting
Cal.com is the open-source scheduler. You can read the code, fork it, or run the whole thing on your own infrastructure, and the hosted version offers an EU region. For an engineering team that treats scheduling as part of the product, nothing else here is in the same category.

Developer teams, agencies embedding scheduling in a product, and anyone whose procurement asks where the source code lives.
Where it falls short
Setup is the hardest here, which its own reviewers say plainly, and self-hosting moves the maintenance onto you. EU residency is a configuration you choose rather than a default you inherit.
What reviewers say
On Trustpilot, Cal.com holds 4.7 out of 5 from 380 reviews, higher than meetergo's 4.2, and we are not going to bury that. Its G2 aggregate is 4.6 out of 5 from 154 reviews, so the two platforms agree.
Jacqui P., a designer at a small business, 28 April 2026, four out of five. The boxed criticism is specific and recent: since the last mobile app update it "no longer works in Europe and only tries to access cal.com instead of cal.eu", which is the exact seam where an EU region meets a US-default client.

4. YouCanBookMe: best for a booking page that looks like yours
YouCanBookMe sells page-level control: custom colours, background images, footers, Markdown formatting, password-protected pages and per-page branding. No free tier is the obvious one. Less obvious: Starter covers a single calendar, so the first extra staff member costs $11 a month more, and the Squarespace relationship is a recurring theme in critical reviews.

G2 shows 4.6 out of 5 from 410 reviews and Trustpilot shows 3.7 out of 5 from 623, a gap of nearly a full star between two live platforms.

He found the Squarespace integration restrictive and the scheduler options "confusing initially, then limited", and switched. G2 labels the review incentivized. 6. Setmore: best free plan for a small team

G2 shows 4.5 out of 5 from 270 reviews. Trustpilot shows 4.9 out of 5 from 3,233 reviews, the largest and highest Trustpilot figure on this page, on a paid profile that has replied to every negative review and collected 402 reviews in the last twelve months.

His praise is the calendar sync and his complaint is payments: card only, no other Stripe methods, and no automatic follow-ups. A 4.9 across 3,233 reviews is not a natural distribution, and the section below says what to do with a number like that.
7. SimplyBook.me: best for staff and resource booking
SimplyBook.me treats providers, rooms and equipment as first-class objects, so a booking is "Dr Weber, room 3, Tuesday" rather than "a slot in somebody's calendar". If your business books things as well as people, this is the shape you want. The EU-hosted view of it sits on the GDPR side of the cluster.

Ten calendar connections is a hard cap on the Individual plan, and $29 buys the software rather than a support contract. The recent Trustpilot record is the clearest warning sign on this page and it is about support specifically.

9. Microsoft Bookings: best if you already pay Microsoft
Microsoft Bookings is not sold on its own. It arrives inside Microsoft 365 Business plans that include Teams, so for a company already on that bill the marginal cost of adding scheduling is zero. That argument is strong enough to rule it out first rather than last.

Checked 1 September 2026. No standalone product and no free tier. The cheapest plan that carries it is Microsoft 365 Business Basic with Teams at $7.00 per user per month paid yearly. The $5.40 version without Teams does not include Bookings; Microsoft's own comparison table marks the Bookings row "Included in the version with Teams".

Companies standardised on Microsoft 365 whose scheduling needs are ordinary.
Where it falls short
Scheduling flexibility trails every dedicated tool here, SMS notifications need an extra Teams Premium licence and work only in North America and the UK, and the product is only as available as your Microsoft licensing.

This is the one tool whose second platform is Capterra rather than Trustpilot, because it has no Trustpilot listing at all. G2 shows 3.8 out of 5 from 38 reviews, the lowest score on this page, on a profile nobody has claimed. Capterra shows 4.4 out of 5 from 168, a base more than four times larger.
Read the larger sample first. The G2 profile is labelled "Unclaimed Profile", so nobody at Microsoft solicits or answers reviews for a feature bundled into a suite, and what G2 collects is whoever felt strongly enough to write unprompted.
10. Calendly: the one case for staying
A page called "Calendly alternatives" should be able to say when the answer is none of them. Calendly still has the largest third-party integration marketplace in the category and the largest verified review base by an order of magnitude. The Trustpilot profile carries the opposite flag, "no recent history of asking for reviews", and has not replied to its negative reviews, which is most of the distance between 4.7 and 4.0.

Why do two review sites disagree about the same scheduler?
Because they sample different people, and because one of them weights recent reviews far more heavily than old ones. Every listicle on this search result quotes a single score per tool. None of them says how that score was collected, and on this page the collection method explains almost every number in the table.
Two badges do most of the work. A vendor that holds a paid Trustpilot subscription can invite customers to review, and invited customers write positive reviews. A profile that carries "no recent history of asking for reviews" collects only people motivated enough to arrive unprompted, and unprompted usually means annoyed. The three highest Trustpilot scores here all belong to vendors who pay Trustpilot and solicit reviews. meetergo does not, and our 4.2 is what that looks like. Read it as a caveat on the table rather than a compliment to us: our score is unsolicited, and our sample is 54.
Why Doodle shows 4.0 while two thirds of its reviews are one star
Doodle's lifetime Trustpilot distribution is 66% one star. A plain average of that distribution lands near 2.2, not 4.0. The gap is not an error, and chasing it explains the whole mechanism.
Filter the profile by rating and sort by date. The one-star reviews run 28 August, 27 August, then nothing back to 11 June, 10 June, 9 June, 17 May, 29 April, 26 March. The five-star reviews run 30 August, 25 August, 25 August, 24 August, 20 August, 19 August, 19 August, 19 August. Eight five-star reviews in twelve days against two one-star reviews in two months. Doodle claimed the profile in February 2026 and holds a paid subscription, and the solicited flow since then is close to uniformly five stars, while the historical one-star mass is being time-discounted out of the headline.
What to do with it. The 4.0 is technically current and substantively misleading. For Doodle, quote the G2 figure of 4.4 from 2,069 if you want one number, and if you cite Trustpilot at all, cite the distribution rather than the score.
Why TidyCal is the exact inverse of Doodle
TidyCal's lifetime distribution is 84% five stars, which would average around 4.5, and its displayed score is 3.3. Same mechanic, opposite direction. Only 13 reviews landed in the last twelve months, and they are almost all negative: 9 July 2026 at one star about team scheduling, 30 May at three stars about server errors, 19 May at one star, 12 May at one star about an AI support agent, 11 May at one star, 19 April at one star. Four of those six name support.
The 84% five-star mass is the 2021 lifetime-deal cohort, banked years ago and now heavily discounted, and TidyCal is not soliciting anything to dilute the recent complaints. Its G2 4.7 rests on 25 reviews, so neither number carries much weight. The honest reading is that TidyCal was well reviewed by its early buyers and its recent signal is thin and deteriorating, which is a specific thing to weigh rather than a score to quote.
We have published this shape before on a different category. In our AI notetaker comparison, Read AI holds 4.0 on G2 against 1.3 from roughly 107 Trustpilot reviews, for the same structural reason: one platform samples the people who chose the product, the other samples everyone who ran into it.
The rule this gives you. Before you compare two scores, check three things: the sample size, whether the vendor is soliciting, and when the recent reviews were written. A score with none of those attached is a decoration, not evidence.
How did we check this, and what did we not do?

What we checked. Every list price was read from the vendor's own pricing page on 1 September 2026. Two of those pages render prices client-side rather than in the HTML, so Microsoft's plan comparison and YouCanBookMe's billing toggle were read in a real browser instead of guessed. Every rating was read from the product's own profile on the platform named beside it, with its review count, its badges, and for Doodle and TidyCal the dates and ratings of the recent reviews.
What we did not do. We did not run a hands-on trial of the other nine tools for this revision, so no sentence on this page claims that we tested them. Where a claim rests on a vendor's own documentation it is described as the vendor's claim. Acuity, YouCanBookMe and Setmore carry two platforms of data but only one annotated capture each, because we hold no capture of their second platform, and we would rather say so than present one platform as two.
Conflict of interest. meetergo publishes this page and meetergo is ranked first on it. That is a reason to read our column sceptically, which is why our column is graded on the same scale as everyone else's, why the four rows we lose are printed in the same table, and why the review section applies its own test to our numbers and finds the smallest sample on the page. We take no affiliate commission from any tool listed here, and none of the vendors was contacted before publication.
Prices move. Every figure above carries the date it was read, and the vendor's own page is the only current source for it. Open that page yourself before you commit a team to anything.
Which tools did we leave out, and why?
A shortlist is only useful if the exclusions are explained. These came up and did not make the ten.
- SavvyCal is genuinely good and holds 4.8 out of 5 from 36 reviews on G2. It has no Trustpilot profile at all and its Capterra listing carries four reviews, so it cannot clear this page's two-platform evidence bar. That is a limit on our evidence, not on the product.
- Koalendar and Lunacal rank on this search term, but neither carries a review base large enough to compare against the tools above without misleading you about the sample.
- HubSpot Meetings is the right answer for teams already running HubSpot as their CRM. We leave it out because it is a CRM feature rather than a scheduler you can buy, which makes the price column meaningless.
- Google Calendar appointment schedules are free and probably already in your account. Rule them out before paying for anything: our Calendly vs Google Calendar comparison shows exactly where they stop.
- Vertical booking tools for salons, veterinary practices and driving schools are excluded on positioning rather than quality. SuperSaaS is the closest of them to a general scheduler.

Is there a genuinely free Calendly alternative?

Only if one of your requirements is something Calendly does not do: EU data residency, built-in video, group polls, staff and resource booking, an open codebase, or a one-time price. If your requirement is a long list of third-party integrations, staying is rational, because Calendly's marketplace is still the largest in the category.
Which Calendly alternative is cheapest over three years?
TidyCal, by a wide margin: $29 once and nothing afterwards. Setmore Pro at $5 per user per month billed annually is the cheapest recurring option, and Setmore Free at $0 for four users is cheaper still if you can live without SMS reminders and two-way calendar sync.
Do any of these alternatives keep data in the EU?
